Air France will reopen new transatlantic routes

It seems Air France continues to strengthen its transatlantic/north american network, with three routes to return to the network.

From March 27, 2022, Air France will resume flights between Paris-Orly and New York JFK, with 1 daily flight. New York will thus be served by two Parisian airports; Paris-Charles de Gaulle, international hub of Air France, and Paris-Orly, totaling up to 7 daily flights.

On the same day, the airline will resume flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle in Dallas Fort Worth (Texas), with up to 5 weekly flights.

Finally, on May 4, 2022, Air France will launch a seasonal service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Denver (Colorado) for the second consecutive year, with 3 weekly flights operated.

With this move, Air France will serve 14 destinations in the United States from the Paris region this summer. These are:

  • Atlanta
  • Boston
  • Chicago
  • Dallas Fort Worth
  • denver
  • Detroit
  • Houston
  • Los Angeles
  • Miami
  • Minneapolis
  • New YorkJFK
  • San Francisco
  • Seattle Washington D.C.

The airline will offer nearly 200 weekly flights, 20% more than in summer 2019. Frequencies and tickets are loaded at airfrance.com.

Check before you go and before you come back

As usual, some restrictions are in place, with the image moving a lot more than most of us would like. Fortunately, Air France has a tool to help you meet the requirements of each destination indicated on your ticket.

This is available on https://airfrance.traveldoc.aero.

In addition, Air France’s “Ready to fly” service was made available for all flights to and from the United States. This free and optional service allows you to request and obtain confirmation that they have all the health documents necessary for their trip before going to the airport. This service offers customers greater peace of mind and a smoother boarding process, avoiding multiple checks on the day of departure.

Ready To Fly is gradually being rolled out across the entire Air France network. It is currently available on more than 140 routes from 80 airports, representing more than 600 daily flights including all flights to and from the United States.
