Location, map and how to use the new “Fortnite” Grapple Glove item
Epic Games has reintroduces one of FortniteThe best mechanic of: swinging. In previous seasons swinging was made possible through the use of Web-Shooters, but now that Spider-Man is out of the question, you’ll have to use the grappling glove, which has just been added. These items appear in fixed locations on the map at grapple stops. There are 10 grappling hook stops in total, and here we’ll show you where to find them all so you can swing your way. Why walk when you can swing so much faster?
Where are the Fortnite Grapple glove locations?
The nice thing about grappling hook stops is that they appear in fixed locations on the map, which means you don’t have to rely on RNG to find them. However, you have to worry about other players getting there before you do, but this can usually be mitigated if you choose a grapple stop that is out of the way.
As you can see from the map above, the grappling hook stops are fairly evenly spaced across the map. If you’re worried about another player rushing in and stealing your Grapple Gloves before you can reach them, we recommend picking a location away from the main Battle Bus path when you land.
Once you get there, you’ll find a small station with a purple crane at the top. Inside the stations are toolboxes containing the grappling hook gloves, so open them and equip the item before use. There’s usually a nice selection of loot at these locations too, so be sure to collect whatever you can to help start the match off on the right foot. It should be noted that you can only carry one set of Grapple Gloves at a time.
How to use the Fortnite grappling glove
Swinging with the Grapple Gloves works almost exactly like the Web-Shooters. You’ll target a grapple point, then use the right trigger to grapple to it and swing into it. You can then easily target the next grappling point and you’ll gain momentum as you swing from point A to point B.
Keep in mind that Grapple Gloves have a limited number of uses, so try not to waste them all at once. Unfortunately, there’s no way to ‘recharge’ the grapple gauntlet, so if you run out of uses you’ll need to get your hands on another pair instead.
One thing you need to be aware of is that you need to have a grapple point to grab onto in order to swing. This may seem obvious, but it’s worth mentioning, especially for those who like to venture into the ocean where there aren’t large areas to tackle. However, you’ll find the game to be quite forgiving of what it considers a grapple point.
